About

This blog is for anyone with an interest in archaeology, history and exploring some of the world’s (and Irelands) ancient sites. I hope to inform people about the human history buried beneath their feet and in the ruins and buildings we see on a day to day basis but normally don’t get an opportunity to investigate in further detail. I’ll try to make sure all my information is factual and accurate but if anything is incorrect I gladly encourage constructive criticism. I hope to stimulate conversations about these sites and other themes in archaeology, so we can better understand how humans saw the world around them and developed methods to live better lives. I’ve a personal interest in the Classical world, the Celtic Iron age and the Early Medieval period, primarily concentrating on the links between older believe systems and the rise of Christianity but I hope to have blogs on all time periods and regions in archaeology.
